Install and Uninstall

Installing Business Time Tracker

To install Business Time Tracker:

  • Download and unzip the Business Time Tracker setup package to a local folder.
  • Run setup.exe (not the MSI file).

To get reports in Microsoft Excel, install the SaveToDB add-in, version 8.15 or higher:

  • Download and unzip the SaveToDB Add-In setup package to a local folder.
  • Run setup.exe (not the MSI file).

Both products require Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher.

If the framework is not installed, you will be asked to download and install it from the Microsoft website.

IT administrators may use the MSI files to deploy the application.

Starting Business Time Tracker

To start the tracker, Use Start, All Programs, Business Time Tracker.

You have to see the red application icon in the system tray.

Click on the icon and click Start. You have to see the green icon.

To start the tracker automatically on Windows logon, check the Start at Logon option.

Activating Business Time Tracker

To start the trial or to activate the purchased license, you have to activate it.

To activate, click the application icon in the system tray and click Register Product.

Updating Business Time Tracker

To update Business Time Tracker, install a new version.

Alternatively, you may uninstall Business Time Tracker first and then make a clean install.

Uninstalling Business Time Tracker

To uninstall Business Time Tracker:

  • Close Business Time Tracker using the application icon in the system tray.
  • Open Control Panel.
  • Open Programs and Features.
  • Select Business Time Tracker Add-In and click the Uninstall button.

  • SaveToDB 8.15 or higher
